This week I had a lovely lady come and see me. She had had some extensions applied  Christmas week. They had started slipping out after the first wash, so on the first business day after Christmas she went back to the salon only to find it had closed down.  She had been told these were Balmain extensions, which is an expensive brand and been in the industry for many years. When I saw them I was shocked. These extensions were not in the correct condition for being in the hair for under 6 days. The strips were already torn and sticky. They were weak and would not last another move up. In my opinion these were reused tapes. If I can give you all lovely ladies out there one piece of advice when having extensions done; check your extensions before they are applied. You should be shown the extensions to make sure you are happy with them before they are applied, but if not ask to see them. They come in packages, so make sure they are in a package before use, or ask to see the package. It is against the law for an extension technician to apply used hair. It is against health and safety and who wants to pay for hair that has been worn by someone else. This is the first time I've seen this done, but I just wanted to put it out there it's your right to check what you are buying. Feel the hair check the strips make sure the colour is right, do this before the hair is applied.  Never be scared to ask questions, the person applying the extensions should know about the hair they are using. The salon that had applied these extensions was not a small salon, it was  a popular salon, and my client had said  the lady applying the hair did no what she was talking about but still applied used extensions so that just reinforces what I said Check all extensions before application
